Volunteer Training
Welcome
During the 2027 HAND-Philippines medical mission, volunteers will use EMIL, our mobile electronic medical record, to document care and coordinate services throughout the clinic.
This personalized training page contains your assigned volunteer role and required training modules. It will show you how to use EMIL for your role and guide you through completing the assigned skill check before the mission.
Before You Begin
For the easiest setup, open this training page on a computer and EMIL on a tablet (or a phone if a tablet is not available). Watch the videos and follow the instructions on the computer, complete each assigned activity in the app, then return to the computer to submit your skill check. If you do not have access to a computer, switch between this page and EMIL on your mobile device as needed.
Access the App
On your phone or tablet, open your training email and go to Step 2: Install EMIL on Your Device. The email contains the installation buttons for your device and the training account and password assigned to you.
If EMIL is already installed and opens successfully on the device you will use for training, you may skip the installation instructions below. Otherwise, select the appropriate installation button in your email and use the guide below to install EMIL and sign in.
After EMIL opens successfully, return to this page and continue to Orientation below. If you need help, use the support information in your training email.
