Install EMIL for iPhone or iPad

Before You Begin

Keep these instructions open on your computer.
On the iPhone or iPad you will use for training, open your training email.
Your training email contains the Google account and password assigned to you.

Install and Open AppSheet

EMIL is hosted within AppSheet and cannot be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store. You must first install AppSheet from the App Store and then sign in to access EMIL.

On your iPhone or iPad, select Install on iPhone or iPad in your training email.
The Apple App Store will open directly to AppSheet.
Tap the download icon.
If prompted, confirm the installation.
Wait until the Open button appears and open the app.

Sign in and Open EMIL

When AppSheet opens, select Google.
Sign in using the Google training account and password provided in your training email.
If a list of Google accounts appears, select "use another account," then enter the assigned training account.
Do not sign in with your personal Google account.
When the "Shared with me" screen appears, select EMIL.

Open the EMIL Menu

When the EMIL welcome screen appears, select OK.
EMIL will open on the Registration screen.
Select the side menu icon in the upper-left corner.

Add EMIL to the Home Screen

In the EMIL side menu, scroll down and select Add Shortcut.
A browser page will open with instructions for adding EMIL to the Home Screen.
Select the Share icon in the upper-right corner.
In the Share menu, select Add to Home Screen. You may need to scroll down to find it.

Finish Adding the Shortcut

Select Add in the upper-right corner.
Return to the Home Screen and confirm that the EMIL icon appears.
Tap the EMIL icon to confirm that the app opens.

You may see both an AppSheet icon and an EMIL icon. Use the EMIL icon to open EMIL directly.

Once EMIL opens successfully, return to the Volunteer Training page to continue.
